This 18 day itinerary will take you to see the mighty Iguazu Falls which borders Brazil, down to the Valdes Peninsula then across to the Salta region which is stunningly beautiful. Salta is also famous for its wines, although perhaps not quite as much as the Mendoza area (if Mendoza is more your tipple then simply tell us and we can swap it over for you).

This itinerary shows you Argentina's natural beauty, gives you a good chance of seeing much of its wildlife at the Valdes Peninsula and then allows you to taste one of Argentina's best exports in the shape of its wine! Without too much internal travel, you will see vastly different areas of the country, some of which are still off the well-beaten tourist track.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Depart from the UK.

Day 2: Arrival in Buenos Aires for a 2 night stay.

Day 3: Morning city tour and tango show in the evening.  

Day 4: Fly south to Trelew for your stay at an estancia on Peninsula Valdés.

Day 5-6: Spend two days enjoying the marine wildlife in the area.

Day 7: Visit the Punta Tombo penguin sanctuary.

Day 8: Fly back to Buenos Aires for the night.

Day 9: Fly to Salta and explore wineries outside the city, staying amongst the vineyards.

Day 10:  At leisure, wine tasting.

Day 11:  At leisure, more wine tasting!

Day 12: Return to Salta and fly via Buenos Aires to Iguazú.

Day 13: Visit the Brazilian and Argentinian side of the falls.

Day 14: Transfer to Don Enrique lodges. Explore the jungle.

Day 15: At Don Enrique.

Day 16: Return to Iguazú and fly to Buenos Aires for the night.

Day 17: Depart for the UK.

Day 18: Arrive in the UK.
