If you really want to get away from everything and have lots of opportunities for wildlife viewing (including sea lions, elephant seals and when in season - Southern right whales, plus also guanacos, rheas, armadillos). Then consider coming here.

There are lots of activities on offer (included in the rate) including mountain-biking, hiking, kayaking and horse riding (for all abilities). All the activities depend somewhat on the weather. You can enjoy a boat ride to the sea lion and penguin colonies.

El Pedral is reached by road from the airport at Trelew (two hours) with several flights daily from Buenos Aires. The road transfers are included in the price. There are just seven standard bedrooms and two suites.

You can do two or three night stays at El Pedral. The lodge is open from August until the end of March; the whale season is from May until the end of November; October is the best month for whale-watching.
