Itinerary

Day 1: Flight to La Paz 

Day 2: La Paz
Upon arrival in La Paz, airport reception and transfer to your hotel. Day at leisure to acclimatize.

Day 3: La Paz
Half day City Tour of La Paz and Moon Valley. Afternoon time to explore the city independently.

Day 4: La Paz – Uyuni
Depart from La Paz by overland bus to Oruro (3 hours), then train to Uyuni (6-7 hours), crossing a big portion of the highlands and offering stunning views onroute. Arrival in Uyuni and overnight in hotel.

Day 5: Uyuni Desert/San Pedro de Quemez
After breakfast (8:00AM) departure towards Colchani (1/2 hour drive). After visiting the "Ojos de Agua" on the border of the Salar and o the Salt Hotel you continue your trip towards Isla Pescado or Incawasi. Afternoon visit to the Devil´s Cave and the Galaxy Cave. Ongoing drive to San Pedro de Quemez. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 6: Uyuni Desert/San Pedro de Quemez – Soniquera
Breakfast and visit to the Stone Army, Laguna Cañapa, Laguna Hedionda. On-route enjoy a box lunch today. The trip continues passing by Laguna (lake) Chiarcota, Laguna (lake) Honda, Laguna (lake) Ramaditas, The Desert of Siloli and the famous Stone Tree. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.  

Day 7: Soniquera – Uyuni
Breakfast at Ojo de Perdiz Hotel and departure to Laguna Colorada (Red Lagoon) where 3 different types of flamingoes nest and continue to Sol de Mañana Fumaroles, Laguna Verde (Green Lagoon). Return towards Uyuni seeing on route the Valley of Rocks and the small Andean Villages. Lunch at San Cristóbal and continue trip to Uyuni. Dinner and overnight in your hotel.

Day 8: Uyuni – Potosí
Continue your travel today towards Potosí. In the afternoon Potosí city tour. Evening at leisure.

Day 9: Potosí – Sucre
After breakfast we will also visit the mine in Cerro Rico. Lunch included at an “unusual local restaurant”. Visit to the Convent of Santa Teresa, the convent will give you an inside of religious life in colonial times. Ongoing transfer to Sucre by private car.

Day 10: Sucre
Morning half day guided city tour; visit Recoleta and San Francisco Church, the House of Liberty where Simon Bolivar signed the Independence of Bolivia, the second oldest University on the continent San Francisco Xavier and the local colorful market. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 11: Tarabuco
Tarabuco is possibly one of the few places in Bolivia where ethnical and traditional culture are maintained. Every Sunday natives from all nearby communities meet at Tarabuco market, dressed in their typical clothes to make purchases and for social exchange. On such days it is possible to purchase beautiful fabrics direct from the people who make them. Return to Sucre in the afternoon.

Day 12
Morning at leisure. Pick up and transfer to the airport and flight to Santa Cruz. Arrival transfer from airport to hotel.

Day 13: Santa Cruz
Morning city tour to visit the Zoo with a large variety of tropical species. The Ethnic-folkloric Museum; the main square; the Cathedral Museum; the Interpretation Centre of Santa Cruz; the handicrafts expo “Arte-campo” and the principal monuments of Santa Cruz. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 14: Santa Cruz – Iguazu
Very early morning transfer to the airport and flight to Iguazu. Upon arrival at Iguazu transfer to your hotel.

Day 15: Iguazu
Morning at leisure after a late flight arrival. Afternoon guided visit of the Brazilian side of the falls. The Brazilian falls are very panoramic offering amazing photo opportunities.

Day 16: Iguazu
Morning guided tour to the Argentinean side of the waterfalls. This tour combines a jungle trip with a boat trip to the falls. Trip starts in the jungle of the National Park in 4 by 4 trucks without roof for best visibility of the trees and to take good photos. Then we take a zodiac boat to the lower Iguazu River upstream to discover the falls little by little with a panoramic view of the Iguazu Falls.

Day 17: Iguazu – Rio
Morning at leisure to enjoy the falls independently. Afternoon transfer to the airport and flight to Rio. Upon arrival in Rio airport reception and transfer to the hotel.

Day 18: Rio
Corcovado Mountain and Tijuca Atlantic Forest by Jeep

Day 19: flight back home
Days at leisure to enjoy Rio. Evening transfer to the airport and flight back home.
