Itinerary
Day 1: Flight to Fortaleza.
Upon arrival airport reception and transfer to your hotel. Fortaleza means Fortress and is the state capital of Ceará, located in Northeastern Brazil. Enjoy an evening stroll through this tropical city. Overnight in Fortaleza at Vila Galé Fortaleza for 2 nights
Day 2: Fortaleza
Enjoy a half day city tour. Overnight in Fortaleza.
Day 3: Fortaleza – Jericoacoara
After breakfast at the hotel check out. Transfer to Jericoacoara, also called Jeri Beach by 4wheel drive. The first 3 hours will be on paved roads through some little villages. The next 1-2 hours are an adventure driving on the beach right next to the ocean with sand dunes by your side. Overnight in Mosquito Blue for the next 4 nights including breakfast.
Day 4/5/6: Jericoacoara
Days of leisure on Jeri Beach. We recommend exploring sunset dune, nearby Preá Beach and if you are adventurous try a kite surfing course.
Day 7: Jericoacoara - Parnaíba
After breakfast your guide will pick you up at the hotel in a 4wheel drive, visiting Tatajuba and Camocinm crossing rivers and villages. In the afternoon, tour along the beaches of Luis Correia (Atalaia, Coqueiro, Carnauibinha) with stop for a swim of course. Overnight in Parnaíba at Pousada dos Ventos for the following 2 nights.
Day 8: Parnaíba
In the morning, transfer to the pier and embarking to the "voadeira" (speed boat) for a full day excursion to the delta (visit to the Canárias Islands, Poldros Islands, Igarapé dos Periquitos and Morro Branco). Stops will be made to spot wildlife, go for a swim and photo opportunities.
Day 9: Parnaíba – Barreirinhas
In de morning, according to the tide, depart by 4wheel drive to Caburé. On the way, stop in Rio Novo, desert beaches, dunes and crystal clear lakes. Visits to Tutóia and Lagoinha. Overnight at posada Pousada Porto Preguiças for the following 4 nights.
Day 10: Barreirinhas
In the morning, depart in by 4wheel drive to visit the Big Lençois Area. Lagoa Azul is a road trail, trekking and swimming in the dunes and lagoons. Afternoon and evening at leisure.
Day 11/12: Barreirinhas
Days at leisure in paradise
Day 13: Barreirinhas - São Luís
Return to São Luís by land transfer. Half Day afternoon historic city tour in São Luis. Overnight in Pestana São Lui for your last night.
Day 14: São Luís – Fortaleza – home
Transfer to the airport for your flight back home via Fortaleza
