Itinerary
Day 1: Flight to Rio
Overnight flight to Rio de Janeiro.
Day 2: Rio
Upon arrival in Rio, airport reception and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 3: Rio
Corcovado Mountain and Tijuca Atlantic Forest by Jeep
Day 4: Rio
Day free to enjoy Rio, or choose from one of our optional day tours.
Day 5: Rio – Iguazu
Morning, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Iguazu. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel on the Argentine side of the falls. In the afternoon guided tour to the Brazilian side of the falls which is the more panoramic side of the falls offering stunning views.
Day 6: Iguazu
Morning, guided tour to the Argentina side of the waterfalls starting at the visitor center inside Iguazu National Park. You will board a little train that runs from the visitor center to the beginning of upper path, lower path and Devil's Throat. You may also walk from the visitor center to upper and lower paths, however the Devil’s Throat is too far to reach by foot (4km’s).
Afternoon, Great Adventure: This tour combines a jungle trip with a boat trip to the falls. Open air 4 x 4 trucks offer best visibility of flora and fauna. Zodiac boats travel upstream the Iguazu river. You are guaranteed to get very wet on this tour, so best to come prepared!
Day 7: Iguazu – Manaus
Early morning transfer to the airport to take the flight to Manaus. Airport reception and transfer to your hotel. City tour of Manaus. Visit Ponta Negra Beach, historic downtown, Palace of Justice, the Amazon Opera House and the residential neighbourhoods. Overnight in the 5* hotel Tropical Manaus, the location is unbeatable!
Day 8: Amazon Lodge
Morning departure to your Amazon lodge, the transfer is in a 4wheel drive and takes about 3 hours. After a welcome cocktail and lunch at the lodge excursion through the Anavilhanas islands in regional watercraft. Dinner at the lodge. After dinner, alligator spotting! You can also choose to stay at a lodge only 1-2 hours away from Manaus
Day 9: Amazon Lodge
Early breakfast and forest hike (optional), learn about the incredible flora and fauna, Amazonian wild fruit, herbs and jungle survival. Return to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon, visit the Amazonian dolphins and go piranha fishing. This is a fun fishing expedition in wooden canoes through regional riverbanks, catch some piranhas as well as other fish whilst being surrounded by sounds of the forest. Dinner followed by a lecture on the Amazon region and Anavilhanas.
Day 10: Amazon Lodge – Salvador
We recommend to get up early to see the sun rise and birds to start their morning concert. After breakfast visit Novo Airão, two regional craft centers can be explored, where you can see the work of local craftsmen in their workplace and later visit a shipyard. After lunch, depart to Manaus and transfer to airport to take the flight to Salvador. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.
Day 11: Salvador
Enjoy a half day historical Bahia City Tour. Afteroon and evening at leisure. Salvador is sourrounded by some of Brazil’s best beaches.
Day 12: Salvador
Day of leisure. Note: We recommend a boat trip to Itapirica Island. The view back over Salvador city is iconic! Frade Island is the 1st stop for swimming, snorkelling and sunbathing. Next stop is Itaparica Island
Day 13: Salvador
Day of leisure to enjoy Salvador.
Day 14: Salvador – home
Morning of leisure. Afternoon, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Sao Paulo and connect with international flight back home.
