Salvador is another world, a chance to step back in time - to stroll through a perfectly preserved city from the 16th and 17th centuries.  Cobbled streets, small shops and churches all protected by its status as a world heritage site. Every day is a carnival here. The streets come alive each night with lively restaurants and bars. Coming to Salvador also gives you a chance to experience Brazil's close connection to Africa - to taste this connection in the food, hear it in the music, see it in the faces of the people. All of these elements - architecture, food and music - mix together in Pelourinho, the restored colonial heart of Salvador.

Trancoso, a one hour drive south of Porto Seguro, is a small village on the Southern coast of Bahia. An hour to the north of Salvador is Praia do Forte located in an environmental protection area with a 12-kilometre nearly deserted beach, surrounded by a lush coconut palm plantation and with a pleasant tropical climate.  The northeast area containing Natal, Olinda, Recife, Porto de Galinhas has some of the most beautiful beaches. Recife is where you fly into for visits to colonial Olinda. The city's name can be interpreted as an exclamation regarding the beauty of its setting ("Ó, linda!" is Portuguese for "Oh, beautiful!"). Here you can see fine examples of baroque architecture and art.
