Vida Sol e Mar Beach Village Eco-resort is a small hotel overlooking
The cottages, villas and suites are all individually decorated in a rustic style and the hotel, also just a short walk from the beach, is perfect for nature lovers, honeymooners and families. There is a small swimming pool, a lecture theatre where talks are given about the whales and a restaurant specialising in seafood and international cuisine.
Vida Sol e Mar Beach Village Eco Resort is also the official operator of the Right Whale Institute and specialises in welcoming visitors coming to the area to see the whales. Between mid-July and the end of October boat trips accompanied by a biologist, leave from nearby Garopaba to observe these fascinating creatures. Other activities include scuba diving, snorkelling, surfing, windsurfing bird watching and horse riding.
The weather allows the resort to be an all year round destination, but there is a minimum stay according to the season. The minimum stay for whale-watching is 3 days and 3 nights. Between December and March (summer in Brazil) there is a minimum 7 night stay and between the middle of May and the middle of August we suggest not to come for a sun-bathing on the beach type of holiday as it can be windy.
