Amazon Village is 30 kilometres from Manaus on the banks of the Puraquequara River or a three hour motorised canoe ride. With 32 wooden bungalows built in amongst the trees - each has twin bedrooms and a private bathroom. Knowledgeable guides will show you the environment.
You can choose between two, three and four-day overnight packages with guided tours and excursions, including full board & lodging and transfers from Manaus.
All excursions accompanied by specialised and bilingual jungle guides with a lifelong passion for nature cultivated through training and experience in tropical rainforest biome, history and local culture.
The Amazon Village has limited electricity provided by its own generator and candlelight and kerosene lamps light the main lodge. While you will be able to experience ‘jungle life’ here, the wildlife is not as prolific as you might imagine. For a greater wildlife experience you must travel deeper into the jungle to remoter lodges which may be found in Peru for example.
