The wildlife is in abundance here and there are about 350 species of birds and 35 species of mammals (including the giant anteaters and otters, plus jaguars).
While staying here you should have the opportunity to tour by motorised canoe along the Salobre river, horse-riding through the marshes and hiking along the river banks. All these excursions will give you some excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.
