Visas
In almost all of Central America, British citizens are permitted to enter and stay for 90 days as a tourist without a visa. To enter Mexico an FMT card must be obtained but this can be done as you enter. British nationals do need a visa to enter Cuba. To enter Nicaragua and Panama, British nationals require a tourist card which is issued on arrival.

When to go
A thunderstorm, baking sunshine or a windstorm can all be part of your magical holiday. Sometimes the best time to go to Central America is out of season when fewer people are there.

Destinations in Central America can be enjoyed all year round, whatever the weather.

Please remember that each country in Central America may have various climate zones and so more than one 'best time to go', depending on your holiday and the activities you enjoy. For this reason, we suggest that you research your destination thoroughly before departure and stay up to date with local holiday weather information whilst away.
