Tierra Atacama

Tierra Atacama is a brand new hotel which opened in February 2008. There are 32 rooms and 2 suites all styled with atacamenan details and all with mountain views and private terraces. The hotel is a 15 - 20 minute walk away from the centre of San Pedro and an hour away from Calama airport.

Tierra Atacama has a relaxed and beautiful living area, fine dining and facilities which include a bar, restaurant, library, internet, pool, spa and terraces with firepits and great views of the Licancabur volcano. The Uma spa is in a separate building a few steps away from the hotel. Every therapy imaginable is possible here!

Discover the scenery, wildlife, flora and archaeology of the altiplano. You can hike, walk, mountain bike, climb a volcano, rock climb and then come back and relax at the hotel and spa.

This is also the ‘sister’ lodge to the Portillo ski resort. If you are heading to Chile in the months of mid-June to September then you should consider a combining the Tierra Atacama with Portillo – this combination couldn’t be more diverse and exciting if it tried!
