Tailor-made holidays in Chile

Hacienda Los Lingues

Hacienda Los Lingues in the Colchagua valley is a wonderful 17th century, family-owned country estate in the heart of Chile's wine growing region. It boasts 18 charming rooms all decorated in the Chilean ‘colonial style’ and is crammed full of antique furniture. A visit to the Hacienda Los Lingues is like going back in time, in the best possible way and is a real treat incorporated into any itinerary.

Hacienda Los Lingues is the only Chilean property featured by the exclusive Relais and Chateaux group and is one of Chile's oldest and best-preserved landed estates. The hacienda dates back to 1600 and has remained in the same family and continues to be run as a working ranch, complete with a world-renowned stable of horses on site.

To spend a couple of days buried deep in the Chilean countryside – approximately 9,000 acres of farmland, vineyards and rolling hills - is a wonderful and relaxing experience. Other than the wine-tasting, you also have access to swimming pools, tennis courts, mountain bikes and fly-fishing on the lake. The home-cooked traditional food is delicious, but served in a fairly formal dining room environment which may not suit all.

Hacienda Los Lingues is located just over 125 km to the south of Santiago. For those who do not want to stay or do not have time, a day trip including lunch is also possible.

“Hacienda Los Lingues, in the heart of the Chilean wine-producing Cachapoal Valley, dates back to 1599 when King Felipe of Spain presented the estate to Don Melchor Jufre de Aguila, the mayor of Santiago. It is still in the same family today and is renowned for its stud farm, the oldest in South America.”
