Hotel Casa Real
Just an hour south of
The Hotel Casa Real, influenced by Pompeian style, has two wings; the original north wing and the newly rebuilt south. Between them there are 16 bedrooms all of which are comfortable and beautifully furnished with modern facilities, although the rooms in the south wing have less character. The main communal rooms are extravagantly decorated too.
This is a great place to relax. You have exclusive use of the extensive gardens (which a small army of gardeners maintain), the pool, sauna and there are two tennis courts. Perhaps you’d prefer to enjoy a free tour in a horse-drawn wagon of one of Chile’s leading wineries? The whole atmosphere at Casa Real is refreshingly unpretentious with charming hosts and attentive service though the menu is fairly basic.
The Santa Rita vineyard - more...
"Built in 1883 as the manor house of the Santa Rita vineyards, Casa Real was converted into a luxury hotel in 1996. Some of the 16 rooms have soaring ceilings and French doors that open onto a grassy courtyard with a stone fountain at its centre.”
