ITINERARY

Day 1
Overnight flight to Santiago.

Day 2 Santiago
Reception at Santiago airport and transfer to your selected hotel in the heart of the city. Afternoon, city tour of Santiago.

Day 3 Vina del Mar and Valparaiso
Full day of touring around Santiago.

Day 4 Santiago - San Pedro de Atacama - Moon Valley
Morning transfer to the airport and flight to Calama. Upon arrival, greeting and transfer to hotel. Afternoon, half-day Moon Valley excursion

Day 7 – Atacama Desert – Easter island
Transfer to Calama airport to take the flight to Santiago and connect with flight to Easter Island (good same day flight connections operate Wednesdays). Reception at Mataveri International Airport and transfer to your selected hotel. The Atacama Desert and the Uyuni Desert in Bolivia can also be visited together. We can arrange this by visiting Easter island first.

Day 8 Full-day excursion to Anakena beach
On this full day excursion you will discover the main highlights in nature and history of Rapa Nui (Easter Island). Leave Hanga Roa and drive southeast along the coastal road. On the way to the next stop we will pass several moais lying on the side of the road. Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch. Walk up the Ranu Raraku volcano to see 300 statues in different states of completion.

Drive to the next highlight - the recently reinstalled giant Ahu Tongariki and its 15 moais, also visit two small beaches. Reach Anakena, the white sandy beach with coconut palm trees and a calmed blue cove of warm pacific water makes this the most Polynesian-looking part of the island, the perfect spot to offer the sight of two Ahus. Return to Hanga Roa on the main road, passing Vaitea, the only eucalyptus forest on the island. Arrival at your hotel in the late evening.

Day 9 Easter Island
Choose one of two possible half day excursions. Half-day excursion to Orongo: Rano Kau and Vinapu or Akivi: Puna Pau and seven Moais.

Day 10 Easter island
Day of leisure or choose a further optional activity. Mountain biking and trekking is great on Easter island.

Day 11 Easter Island – Santiago
Transfer to Mataveri Airport for flight back to Santiago. Add Torres del Paine or the Chilean Lake District into this holiday.

Day 13 Santiago – home
Day of leisure. Evening transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
