Patagonia Camp

For many people the whole point of going to somewhere like the Torres del Paine National Park is to enjoy the scenery and get close to nature without actually camping! Thanks to Patagonia Camp this is now possible. The camp consists of 18 yurts all strategically located on the banks of Lago Toro.

Patagonia Camp is a luxurious experience. Your home for three or four nights is a heated and beautifully decorated yurt with ensuite bathroom and shower. There is a bar, restaurant serving fantastic food and a sitting room area located in one building (not a yurt!) at the top of the hill and all yurts are connected via a wooden walkway.

All yurts enjoy great views of the Paine Massif although the Patagonia Camp is located just outside the National Park. The camp is not especially ‘small child-friendly’ as a lot of the wooden walkways have reasonably steep drops either side.

New for the 2009/10 season you may now stay for 3 nights from Saturday to Tuesday or from Wednesday to Saturday and then there are 4 night programs from Tuesday to Saturday or from Saturday to Wednesday.

"A luxury lakeside camp 30 minutes south of the park entrance: gourmet cuisine, heated yurts with private baths, all with perfect views of the Cuernos de Paine across a turquoise blue lake.”

The Guardian, January 2008
