In the heart of the walled Colombian city, one of the most beautiful in South America, you will find La Passion, a great hotel with a rooftop infinity pool that has blended the elegance of the original 19th-century Spanish mansion with stylish, modern detailing.

La Passion is best described as a ‘boho-chic’ retreat. This lovely hotel opened three years ago. The owners, Thierry (French) and his Colombian wife Lilliana have furnished their five suites and three rooms with doors from Morocco, lamps from Syria and carpets from Iran. However the décor is not as random as it sounds. The decor fits in perfectly with the original Spanish Andalucian architecture of the house, which was built in the 17th century," says Forte. In La Passion's restaurant mouth watering dishes are prepared, including local Caribbean coast specialities such as lobster, shrimp and conch. From the grill, you can enjoy a selection of delicious meats cooked beside you on the roof terrace.

Breakfast can be French - with Croissants, Pain au Chocolat, Brioche, and Crepes. Or American - with eggs (cooked to order), along with an array of fresh tropical fruits.

Dinner on the terrace is perfect at night. Enjoy live local music and fine wine to accompany a Foie Gras starter and fresh fish.
