This itinerary begins at San Jose and then continues to Tortuguero. You will then visit the Cahuita National Park by boat. Cahuita National Park is best know for the coral reefs close to shore. In the dry season, there is good snorkeling from the beach, and you are likely to see light yellow brain, elkhorn, and blue staghorn corals, sea fans, and gorgonians as a back drop to the more than 500 species of fish endemic to the reefs. Tourists will have the chance to ride to Arenal Volcano National Park, hike the famous Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, before relaxing on one of Costa Rica's most beautiful natural environments, Manuel Antonio Beach.

Itinerary
Day 1: Flight to San Jose.
Day at leisure. Enjoy exploring San Jose independently.
Day 2: Excursion to Tortuguero by land and boat
Cross the continental divide and the rainforest of the Braulio Carrillo National Park by bus until reaching the Caribbean lowlands. Lunch and hike in the forest upon arrival. Afterwards visit the Tortuguero Town by foot.
Day 3: Tortuguero National Park
Experience the awakening of the rain forest through boat tours in the narrow canals of the Tortuguero National Park. Toucans, caimans, turtles, monkeys and more….
Day 4: South Caribbean Coast
Back by boat to the dock and shuttle transfer to the South Caribbean Coast.
Day 5: Cahuita National Park
Snorkeling boat tour and naturalist guided hike in the Cahuita National Park.
Day 6: Puerto Viejo – Arenal Volcano area
Transfer near to the slope of the Arenal Volcano and time at your own leisure to explore the area.
Day 7: Arenal Volcano National Park
In the morning you will have a horseback riding experience to La Fortuna Waterfall. Time to swim! In the afternoon hike in the Arenal Volcano National Park on solidified lava trails and views to the Arenal Lake. Afterwards visit the Tabacon Hot Springs with dinner.

Day 8: Arenal Lake - Monteverde
Scenic transfer by boat across the Arenal Lake and transfer by bus to Monteverde atop de Continental Divide. Upon arrival naturalist hike through hanging bridges. ( Sky Walk )
Day 9: Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve
Hike with a naturalist tour guide in the trails of the famous Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve for birdwatching and nature observancy.
Day 10: Central Pacific Coast – Manuel Antonio and Quepos
Transfer down to the Central Pacific Coast to Manuel Antonio.
Day 11: Manuel Antonio National Park
Guided tour in the Manuel Antonio National Park for nature observancy. Easily you can see sloths, white-faced monkeys and others. Afterwards time at your own leisure to enjoy the Park and the beach.
Day 12: Savegre River Rafting Class III
Raft and enjoy one of the nicest rivers coming from the Talamanca Range of Mountains.

Day 13: Manuel Antonio – San Jose
Morning at your own leisure to enjoy the beach. Afternoon shuttle transfer to San Jose and overnight.
Day 14: San Jose.
Transfer to the airport in San Jose for your flight home.
Total from £1,030 per person based on 3 star accommodation excluding international flights.
Includes: transfers, 3 star hotel accommodation with breakfast, other meals as mentioned above, transfers, national park entrance fees, all tours in English including all entrance fees as listed in the above itinerary.
