The Lodge
Once you arrive at the lodge, you are in tropical paradise. There 8 rooms, four individual cabins and 4 rooms in the house – all a perfect blend of rusticity and luxury.
The cabins are all set amidst dense forest and are made almost entirely of wood, with large open-air showers, private verandas, and a true sense of being in touch with nature.
The main lodge building is huge, open-air and with lots of varnished wood and a relaxed inviting atmosphere that induces one to grab a book, board game, or chat with other guests.
There's an excellent network of trails on the lodge's 165 acres and a whole host of tours and activities offered. As a guest you will have unlimited use of the lodge's kayaks and windsurfing, snorkeling and fishing gear. Meals are served family style, are well prepared and tasty.
Playa Nicuesa Rainforest has found the perfect mix of activity and time to chill out. There is no pressure to do anything. Local woods, recycled plastic roof tiles, thatch roofs and solar energy are just the environmental starters.
Wraparound louvre doors provide air conditioning and there are no TVs, radios or generator buzz. Just beautiful, relaxed surroundings of polished woods, colorful fabrics, jungle noises and spectacular ocean and forest views from private verandas. Retreat to a shady hammock or share jungle-adventure stories in the treetop bar.
Local staff are a smiling presence making sure that you will want for nothing whilst here.
