Our Peaks & Troughs honeymoon is a journey which will take you from the peaks of the volcanoes in the Avenue of the Volcanoes south of Quito to the troughs or lowlands of the Amazon rainforest.
All the while you will be staying in hotels, haciendas and lodges all of which are romantic and unique on their own ways. This is probably a honeymoon for the more adventurous and not the ideal trip for those looking to really relax and chill out! Although of course there is always time for a bit of that whilst at the haciendas.

HONEYMOON ITINERARY
Day 1: Depart UK on a flight via Madrid to Quito. Spend the first two nights of your honeymoon at the lovely Hacienda Rumiloma.
Day 2: City tour of Quito.
Day 3: Transfer north to near the market town of Otavalo and to Hacienda Zuleta for 2 nights.
Day 4: Ride, hike or relax at this beautiful hacienda.
Day 5: Transfer back to Quito for a night in the old town.
Day 6: Transfer down through the Avenue of the Volcanoes and stay at the lovely Hacienda San Agustin de Callo or La Cienega for 3 nights. During your 3 night stay you will visit the Cotopaxi National Park and local markets such as Pujilí or Saquisilí. Maybe even visit a rose farm?
Days 7 - 8: Exploring in the Avenue of the Volcanoes.
Day 9: Return to Quito for a night at the Hotel Marriott, a first class modern hotel with large rooms, quite close to the airport and within walking distance of the main shopping district.
Days 10-12: Early morning flight east to the Amazon. Boat transfer downriver for 3 nights at a jungle lodge such as the Huaorani Eco-lodge or the Kapawi Wildlife Centre to experience the sights and sounds of the rainforest.
Day 13: Fly back to Quito for the night - maybe stay down in the old town this time?
Day 14: Depart Quito.
Day 15: Arrive UK.
