Our 3 week, 'Ecuador Explored' itinerary will show you more or less all the highlights of Ecuador. The capital Quito, the Andes with a stay at a lovely hacienda, a visit to the jungle and a chance to see some amazing wildlife, all then rounded off with a Galapagos fix!

ITINERARY

Day 1: Fly from London to Quito via Madrid, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Spend a day touring Quito learning about its history and visiting the old town.

Day 3: Fly to the Amazon jungle and travel by river to the Huaorani eco-lodge.

Days 4-6: Excursions from the lodge with your naturalist guide.

Day 7: Make your way back to Quito and overnight.

Day 8: Begin your journey along the Avenue of the Volcanoes beginning with Cotopaxi National Park. Overnight in Riobamba.

Day 9: From Riobamba, catch the Devil's Nose train and continue on to the colonial city of Cuenca.

Day 10: Enjoy a private city tour of Cuenca.

Day 11: Travel through the El Cajas National Park and descend to the tropical port of Guayaquil.

Day 12: Fly to the Galapagos Islands and board your 3 star boat.

Days 13-17: Excursions from the boat with your naturalist guide.

Day 18: Fly back to Guayaquil and connect with your overnight plane home.

Day 19: Arrival back the UK.
