Cafe Cultura

Superbly situated, the Café Cultura is a European style hotel accommodated within a beautifully restored colonial building in Quito. It is one of Quito's coolest hotels, with a friendly atmosphere. The hotel was originally a family home and then the residence of the French Cultural Centre. There are 26 rooms - each unique in shape, size and style.

Café Cultura has been lovingly restored to a hotel by the current owners. The hotel is centrally located in the new part of town, 'La Mariscal'. It is ideally placed for those wishing to visit the city's museums. There are also shops, galleries and handicraft shops close by.

Café Cultura is a mix of English tradition and contemporary trend. The reception area almost always has a roaring log fire welcoming you inside. There are two big comfy leather armchairs in the lobby which are hard to leave!

Come in and discover for yourself why Condé Nast Traveller magazine once listed Café Cultura as one of the three reasons to visit Ecuador. There is also a good café-bistro which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner (dinner tends to be early -  usual in Ecuador; the kitchen closes at 9:30 pm).

"This is my favourite Quito hotel, each room is a painted work of art.”
