Itinerary

Day 1: Buenos Aires
Arrive in Buenos Aires.

Day 2: Buenos Aires 
Arrive in Buenos Aires, airport reception and transfer to your hotel.  Day at leisure. NOTE:  Imagine Latin America clients get a free room upgrade subject to availability at check in. 3 nights in the stunning Nuss Palermo Soho Hotel, including breakfast.

Day 3: Buenos Aires
Morning city tour of Buenos Aires, an impressive city that combines the atmosphere of a European town with the features of a Latin American capital. In this tour, you will acquire a deep understanding of its characteristics, its history, its architecture, its culture and its best stories. We will visit the centre of the city, San Telmo, La Boca, Puerto Madero and Palermo, and stops in Plaza de Mayo, Caminito and La Recoleta. Note:  tour with private guide!

Day 4: Buenos Aires
Day of leisure. Enjoy recommended activities such as a daytrip to the Tigre Delta, an evening tango show or a daytrip to Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay.

Day 5: Buenos Aires - San Antonio de Areco
After breakfast, check out and transfer (driver only) to your estancia outside of Buenos Aires.  Afternoon at leisure. 2 nights La Bamba Estancia, 2 nights including full board and activities. La Bamba estancia is located in the heart of the Pampas countryside. The estancia includes a 600 acre cattle ranch and a 32 acre tree-lined park. The estancia is perfect for those looking for an authentic Argentinean experience.

Day 6: San Antonio de Areco
Relax by the swimming pool or enjoy activities such as walking within the grounds, bird-watching, horse-riding and carriage rides in the surrounding pampas.

Day 7: San Antonio de Areco - Calafate
Transfer from your estancia to the domestic airport in Buenos Aires.  Check in for your flight to Calafate. Upon arrival, airport reception and transfer to your hotel.
4 nights Eolo Hotel, a favourite of ours - all inclusive! Note: Eolo Lodge is also inclusive of activities near the hotel, but glacier activities are not included.

Day 8: Calafate
Overland trip to Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the world’s largest active continental glaciers, declared Universal Mankind’s Heritage Site by UNESCO, because of its breathtaking beauty and its unusual behavior. A boat excursion to the face of the glacier is included to get an up-close and personal perspective of this immense gift from Mother Nature. Note: Shared excursion. Note: Optional mini-trekking excursion available (not included).

Day 9: Upsala Glacier + Herminita Peninsula – Wildtrek
Depart from the hotel to Puerto Bandera, 50 kilometers (31 miles) away from El Calafate, to enjoy a full-day lake excursion to Upsala Glacier Herminita Peninsula. Go trekking, crossing Herminita Peninsula from Cristina Channel until reaching Upsala Channel, totally covered by icebergs dislodged from the homonym Glacier. Along the path you will stop at different panoramic viewpoints, breaking for lunch where the guide decides, depending on the weather conditions (box lunch included). The hike, which is 10 kilometres long, takes place on a wavy surface but with little difference in height, walking past small valleys which form rock hills of no more than 100 meters of height. After some time to enjoy these views, you start your way back to Herminita Post; once at the boat you navigate back to Punta Bandera where the program ends.  Transfer to your hotel after. Note: Tour is on a shared basis – Box lunch included. 

Day 10: Calafate
Day at leisure to enjoy the included activities around Eolo Lodge.

Day 11: Calafate – Mendoza
Morning transfer to Calafate airport. Flight from Calafate to Mendoza via Buenos Aires.  Upon arrival, private transfer to your lodge.  Nestled in a 35 acre vineyard, Cavas Wine Lodge is strategically located between the best known wineries and the magnificent Andes Mountain range. 3 nights in the beautiful Cavas Wine Lodge including full board and a la carte activities with private guide.

Day 12/13: Mendoza
Days at leisure.  Horse-back ride, hike, bike, enjoy nature.  Visit the many wineries of the area.  Activities included.

Day 14: Mendoza – Punta del Este  
Morning at leisure. Transfer to the airport and flight to Montevideo via Buenos Aires.  Upon arrival, transfer (1h30mins) to your hotel. 5 nights at the boutique Fasano Las Piedras Hotel, including breakfast.

Day 15/16/17/18: Punta del Este
Enjoy days at leisure in Punta del Este

Day 19: Punta del Este – Buenos Aires 
After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Buenos Aires.  Upon arrival, airport reception and private transfer to your hotel. NOTE:  Imagine Latin America clients get a free room upgrade, subject to availability at check in. 1 night in the impressive Nuss Palermo Soho Hotel, including breakfast.

Day 20 Buenos Aires
After breakfast, check out. Private transfer to the airport for your return flight home.

Prices are based on twin/double share in the low season. Prices can vary dramatically depending on the season.
