Posada Barrancas Mirador

The Posada Barrancas Mirador sits on the edge of the Copper Canyon, near its highest point and indeed each of the 50 rooms has a dramatic balcony that seems to hang right over the cliff's edge. The views are simply awe-inspiring from the canyon’s rim.

The hotel is surrounded by pine trees and almost all the rooms have attractive decorations and furniture, with bold Mexican colour combinations and have been designed to reflect the local Tarahumara Indian culture. Most rooms have two double beds and each room has its own heater.

The communal areas are also comfortable and attractive, though rustic in style. There is a restaurant and bar at the hotel.

As you might imagine, it is also a bird-watchers paradise here.
