Hacienda San Jose

Hacienda San Jose is a fairly special hacienda in which to stay. It is to be found about 40 minutes drive away from Merida. With just fifteen rooms in this large building with a pool and its own small chapel, this is a very pleasant and relaxing place to spend a few nights in the Yucatan.

Almost all guest rooms form part of the original building that has been fully restored.

Most of the rooms features huge 18-foot high ceilings with exposed beams and rafters; narrow, 10-foot-high, wooden double doors; beautiful wooden beds and cabinets made of dark, tropical hardwoods; cool tile floors; and large, bulbous pegs set into the stone walls for hanging the woven cotton hammocks, for which Yucatan is famous, allowing you to sleep in the Mayan Style…
