Hacienda Santa Rosa

Hacienda Santa Rosa, about 70 kms southwest of Merida is the place to stay for at least three nights if you can. It is a real home from home. With just 11 rooms it is a nice and small and set as it is in the heart of a village, it is quiet. There are two pools.

The original building has been sympathetically restored and the gardens are lovely. The hacienda is in fact family run.

This is the perfect choice for anybody who wants to stay in a quiet place which is full of character while at the same time having access to some of the Yucatan’s impressive sites. Uxmal is particularly close. 

Each room has a private terrace, garden area and large ensuite bathroom with shower.

Any time of the year is good to visit, but temperatures and rainfall both rise from May to October (up to mid 90s Fahrenheit in summer). April to December tend to have lower prices.
