Casa Oaxaca

A real gem in bustling Oaxaca, the Casa Oaxaca was originally an 18th century colonial house. The owners have created a statement in contemporary style which is very welcoming – the interior has been completely re-modelled to create a minimalist and peaceful atmosphere allowing the maximum amount of space and light. The house has a distinctly Mediterranean feel about it.

With just five rooms and two exceptional suites, this Casa will never be full of people.

Although there are many enticing restaurants within easy walking distance (Casa Oaxaca is just three blocks from the Zocalo and one block from the Santo Domingo Cultural Centre), don't miss the opportunity to enlist the services of the hotel's chef. With prior notice, your chosen menu will be prepared and served in the cosy restaurant or in the hotel's picturesque courtyard.

This hotel is perfect for longer stays of three or four nights upwards, giving you time time to appreciate the hotel as well as all that Oaxaca has to offer. The hotel is open all year round. Casa Oaxaca has an invitingly deep blue pool, set against ochre walls and surrounded by strategically placed sun loungers and also has a great roof top terrace.

The casa is possibly Oaxaca’s most arty boutique hotel, displaying paintings and craftwork by local artists on display in each room (including Oaxaca‘s famous tin animals).

Over 18 year olds only are accepted.

“Casa Oaxaca’s artful, serene, white-walled rooms and courtyards are a tiny, stylish haven in the midst of the city..."
