The accommodation
Accommodation ranges from the opulent Villas Inkaterra, with private terraces and plunge pools, plus round-the-clock butler service; to more intimate lodges that provide a perfect sanctuary for simple relaxation.

Cusco is four hours away by train; though you may find it more convenient to travel through the scenic Sacred Valley with a driver to Ollantaytambo and continue by train for one and a half hours.

Buses to Machu Picchu leave Aguas Calientes, beginning before dawn, and returning until 5:30 pm. It is also possible to walk the Inca Trail on a one-day trip, exploring the archeological remains and returning by bus.
