Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge

The Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge is the only hotel located adjacent to the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu. It has two suites and twenty-nine rooms.

The Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge continues winning awards. In 2007 the prestigious “Reader’s Travel Awards” published by the magazine Conde Nast Traveller ranks it first among the hotels in America and the Caribbean and in 14th position in the World’s Top 100 list. While not a five star hotel, it is a very comfortable four star property.

The best thing about the Santuary Lodge is that when the flocks of tourists have gone away on the train back to either Cusco or Ollantaytambo, you can sit back and relax in one of the most special locations in the world. Machu Picchu is certainly one of the world's major heritage sites, a sacred and magical place of spectacular sunrises and mystical moonlit nights.

Once you are at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge everything is included in terms of meals and drinks. Most people stay here for one night, though some can’t get enough of the ruins and stay for two.
