Tailor-made holidays in Belize

The Blue Hole

The Blue Hole
Belize is the place to come for eco adventure, world class fishing, for great diving at the famous Blue-Hole and of course to visit the popular Ambergis Caye and Caye Caulker.

The Cayes off the coast of Belize coast are the perfect place to head off for a sandy beach holiday with diving and snorkelling if that is what you are looking for. Belize also offers some of the best preserved jungle in Central America. This small English-speaking country (formally British Honduras) is sheltered by the amazing Barrier Reef, the second longest coral reef in the world. Belize is about the size of Wales, but definitely lacking the sheep and instead throw in a few parrots and monkeys.

Things move at a very slow pace here and so it is ideal if you are looking for somewhere to just wind down on holiday, take your time, do a spot of swimming with sharks (optional) or stingrays (also optional) or just lie on one of the many white sandy beaches in the Caribbean. While emphasis in the past has been on relaxation, the trend for eco-tourism and adventure has also hit here and Belize is slowly (of course) becoming a place where you can go canoeing, caving, river-tubing, scuba-diving etc. All over the Cayes you will see signs which ask you to, ‘Go Slow’ and we advise you to take heed of them in every sense….

While certainly a destination in its own right, Belize combines well with Mexico and Guatemala.

Visas

When to go

The climate is generally hot and humid all the year round. The high and dry season is from January to May. The wet season is from June to December. That said you could get rained on at any time of year.

Belize does suffer from hurricanes from time to time, so while there is a risk, it is small. The months of September, October and November are when there is most risk of hurricanes.
